When we started out looking for survey sites to join back in 2000, we ran across companies like Survey Scout which were selling directories of paid survey companies. However, we also found other sites listing their free directory to paid survey companies. As a result, we never joined Survey Scout or other similar sites because we were able to find quite a few paid survey directories without having to spend any money.
We felt like paying for a directory containing paid survey websites was pointless when you could get the same information for free with just a little searching. Unfortunately, that means our assumptions about sites which require payment before they allow you access to their paid survey information remain untested.
We assume most of the value gained from joining such a site lies in the compiled directory they provide. A comprehensive directory-free join paid survey sites-could save you time searching. However, the list may be too comprehensive—in our experience you can waste a lot of time with “B” grade survey companies which have low payouts and long surveys. A short directory of 5-10 high paying survey companies is usually much better. Check our free list of online paid survey companies.
However, within the next month or two, we plan on joining a couple of these sites to be able to test our assumptions.
